Aquarium Related Tips

1. You should keep some brushes on hand, especially if you are a reef aquarium owner. With your brushes you will be able to clean off any built up grime from inside your aquarium or on the surfaces of your hard corals.

2. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish. The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.

3. You should never add uncured live rock to the aquarium. Doing so can release harmful levels of ammonia into your aquarium.

Red Fire Guppy

$6.05

Red Fire Guppies are bred in captivity to accentuate their bright coloring. The Fire Red Guppy is very hardy and grows to maturity at a very fast rate, and for these reasons it is an ideal fish for the starting aquarium enthusiast. The Fire Red Guppy should be housed in an aquarium of at least 20 gallons to provide plenty of room for this guppy to swim around in. The Fire Red Guppy is a peaceful fish and should be housed in an aquarium with fish of the same temperament. This fish is an omnivore and should be fed mostly algae based pellets and flake food, and should also be fed brine shrimp and bloodworms.
