Aquarium Related Tips

1. It is generally a good practice to purchase the largest aquarium that you can actually afford.† A larger aquarium will be less susceptible to quick changes in the chemistry, and will offer much more stability.†

2. Catfish sometimes require freshwater as juveniles and then as they get old they will need a more brackish environment.† Make sure you read up on your catfish to learn what its needs will be when it gets older.

3. When adding plants to the aquarium, be sure to check the lighting needs.† Try to find plants that will fit the pre-existing lighting conditions of your aquarium.† You should avoid plants that require much more light than the fish in your aquarium.

Finnex Glass Heater 300 Watt

$22.90

OUT OF STOCK, Please check back later.
The Finnex Glass Heater (25 watt to 300 watt), is made of thermal resistant glass, is compact and easy to hide, has a safety shut off valve, a heat indicator and is energy efficient. This heater keeps the water temperature within 2 degrees F of the set value, reducing the risk of Marine Ich, while providing a healthy and safe tank environment. The safety shut-off valve will cut off the power automatically if it senses air. For example, if the heater is accidentally removed from the water. This is accomplished through a built-in temperature sensor. The heater is an extremely important component of your system. Tank temperatures fluctuate, rising during the day and falling at night. A great heater will maintain the water temperature at the set value.
