Aquarium Related Tips

1. When adding new species to your aquarium, you have to ease them in.  Adding too many fish too quickly can cause the ammonia and chemical levels to raise quickly.  Adding fish slowly gives your filter time to catch up.

2. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish.  The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.

3. Do not overfeed the fish in your aquarium.  Keep your feeding times at scheduled intervals to avoid overfeeding.  If you are just starting your feeding routine, start out small and increase the amounts you put in on how much your fish eat.
