Encrusting Sponges are originally from the waters of the Pacific near Eastern Asia and around Fiji. Encrusting Sponges are peaceful species for the aquarium, and should not be kept next to other more aggressive species that may encroach on its territory and harm it. Encrusting Sponges should be kept in a spot in the aquarium where they can receive moderate lighting along with medium water flow for best health. You can place this coral anywhere in the aquarium as long as both its waterflow and lighting requirements. These coral can be a bit difficult to care for and should only be kept by the experienced aquarium owner.
