Aquarium Related Tips

1. It is a good idea to keep carbon on hand in case of emergencies. Carbon can be used to soak up anything harmful that may be introduced into your aquarium. So keeping an emergency stock can be a life saver.

2. When starting out a new aquarium, it is best to add hardier species at first. Once your aquarium ages a bit and gets settled, you can start to add more sensitive fish to the aquarium.

3. When adding plants to the aquarium, be sure to check the lighting needs. Try to find plants that will fit the pre-existing lighting conditions of your aquarium. You should avoid plants that require much more light than the fish in your aquarium.

Elkhorn Coral Small (Atlantic or Pacific)

$0.00

Elkhorn Coral is originally from the waters of the Caribbean in the Atlantic Ocean. Elkhorn Coral grows rapidly and aggressively and should not be kept near more peaceful species that it will take over and dominate. Keep Elkhorn Coral next to other more aggressive species that will keep its growth in check. Elkhorn Coral should be placed in the aquarium where it can receive moderate lighting along with medium-strong water flow. You can place this coral anywhere in the aquarium where both its lighting and water flow requirements are met. Elkhorn Coral can be a bit difficult to care for, and should only be kept by the experienced aquarium owner.

Placement: Any
Lighting: Moderate
Waterflow: Medium
