Aquarium Related Tips

1. When you are picking out fish for your aquarium, you should always pick the best specimens available to put in your aquarium.

2. Having a quarantine tank on hand is a very good practice to use if you frequently buy new fish. The quarantine tank will weed out any sick fish that could possible get into your aquarium and cause harm to the other inhabitants.

3. You should always purchase the correct lighting setup for your aquarium. Doing this will make the habitat much better for the fish and plants in your aquarium.

Electric Eye Scallop

$8.95

The Electric Eye Scallop is named for its fluorescing streaking of its red mantle and this scallop appears metallic under actinic lighting. Its sticky tentacles extend from its shell of the scallop and are a dual fold in function. These tentacles work as a sweeper tentacles and help the scallop capture its food. To make sure that your scallop is in its best health you should target feed the Electric Eye Scallop on a regular basis. The electric eye scallop does not require any special consideration for lighting and can pretty much survive in any lighting environment.
