Aquarium Related Tips

1. You should be sure to rinse out all of the materials you are going to be placing in the aquarium with water. Do not use soap or detergents, soap can cause toxic results for the fish in your aquarium. Just rinse the equipment with distilled water.

2. Clownfish do not always need to be with a sea anemone. Clownfish use anemoneís in the wild and they are not completely necessary in the home aquarium. If you insist on owning an anemone, you need to have plenty of experience to take care of it as they can be difficult to manage.

3. Angelfish are normally very peaceful fish, in times of breeding they can get aggressive. It is a good idea to only keep one pair of mating angelfish in the same aquarium, as more of them can lead to infighting.

Decorator Spider Crab

$5.95

Spider Decorator Crabs are originally from the waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean around Sri Lanka and Australia. Spider Decorator Crabs can be aggressive, and should only be kept in the aquarium with other creatures that can fend for themselves. Spider Decorator Crabs can be kept in the reef aquarium, but make sure to watch them as they can be harmful to certain types of coral. Spider Decorator Crabs grow to around 4 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 30 gallons in size to provide plenty of swimming and living room for these fish. Spider Decorator Crabs are easy to care for, and can be kept by the beginning aquarium owner with little problem.

Origin: Indo-Pacific
Size: 4 inches at full length
Diet: Carnivore
Behavior: Semi-Aggressive
