Aquarium Related Tips

1. Keep plenty of testing kits on hand, if you own a saltwater aquarium you should mainly focus on nitrates, PH, salinity, and phosphate levels. Never be caught off guard, make sure you have plenty of kits available to test the levels.

2. It is generally a good practice to purchase the largest aquarium that you can actually afford. A larger aquarium will be less susceptible to quick changes in the chemistry, and will offer much more stability.

3. If you use your tap water, you should make sure to remove the chlorine from the water before you add it to the aquarium. Chlorine can be very harmful to some of the fish in your aquarium. You can purchase kits to remove the chlorine from your aquarium at many retailers online.

Dalmation Linkia: Fancy

$12.50

Dalmatian Linckia Starfish are originally from the waters around the islands of Bali. Dalmatian Linckia Starfish grow to around 12 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium that is large enough to support them, I personally recommend nothing less than 50 gallons. Dalmatian Linckia Starfish are carnivores and will scavenge around the aquarium looking for microbial life, you should also occasionally supplement their diet with a few carnivore preparations. Dalmatian Linckia Starfish can be kept in the reef aquarium with little problem but should be cared for only by the experienced aquarium owner.

Origin: Bali
Size: Can grow to 12 inches across
Feeding: Carnivore, will scavenge and should be fed supplemental meaty foods.
Aquarium: Saltwater, can be kept in a reef aquarium.
Minimum Tank Size: 50 Gallons
Behavior: Peaceful
Care: Moderate
Compatibility: Can be kept with any creature that will not harm it.
