Aquarium Related Tips

1. Avoid placing your aquarium near a radiator or any other form of heater.  The heat given off by these devices can easily upset the temperature balance in your aquarium.  Raised temperature levels can kill off the fish and plants that you have in your aquarium.

2. You should always thoroughly research the type of aquarium you are going to be setting up before you purchase it.  Make sure you have the proper gallon capacity and shape that will fit in your home.

3. Make any adjustments to the placement of the decorations in your aquarium before you fill up the aquarium all the way.  Not doing this can cause an overflow when you reach into the tank.

Crown Pearlscale Goldfish

$6.98

Originally from China, the Crown Pearlscale Goldfish is a very interesting looking fish. They have a large hump like head, a pot belly and shark like fins alongside their body. They are pearly white in color, with a splash of orange here and there. You should house these goldfish in a larger sized aquarium as they can reach lengths of up to 14 inches. You should also be sure to include plenty of rock and plant cover in the aquarium, while providing a lot of open space for the goldfish to swim through. These fish are omnivorous, but should be fed a mostly vegetable diet. These fish are a great addition to a peaceful aquarium.
