Aquarium Related Tips

1. When you purchase your aquarium and the equipment for your setup, do not purchase the fish at the same time. You are going to need plenty of time to cycle the water in the aquarium to make it hospitable for the fish in your aquarium.

2. Avoid placing your aquarium near a radiator or any other form of heater. The heat given off by these devices can easily upset the temperature balance in your aquarium. Raised temperature levels can kill off the fish and plants that you have in your aquarium.

3. It is generally recommended to use natural gravel for the aquarium. Colored gravel can be used, as long as it is professionally made, certain cheaply made color gravels can be toxic to fish in your aquarium.

Coral - A Quick Reference Guide by Julian Sprung

$29.75

In Corals a Brief Reference Guide by Julian sprung, she covers corals and will go into greater detail distinguishing them from antipatharians, hydrozoans, zoanthids, and corallimorpharia. This book shows very rare and unusual coral forms, including species that have just been recently introduced to science. It has range extensions and shows new records of them being found in different locals. Including quick reference charts that can tell you what your coral requires and can be an invaluable tool for the new aquarium enthusiast, and a good refreshing read for the old hand.
