Congo Tetras get their name from the region they are originally from, Zaire in Africa. Congo Tetras are peaceful schooling fish and should be kept in small schools of 5-8 in your aquarium for the best results. Congo Tetras should be in an aquarium that is well planted and moderately lit, it should also be at least 30 gallons. Congo Tetras are carnivores and should be fed a diet of brine shrimp, daphnia, and freeze dried bloodworms. These fish also make great additions to community aquariums, just introduce a school of these lively fish and watch them zip around your aquarium.
