Aquarium Related Tips

1. It is not a good idea to wash your filter media with regular tap water. The tap water can kill the beneficial bacteria that is built up in the filter. Use distilled water to clean out your filter and its components.

2. When you purchase your aquarium and the equipment for your setup, do not purchase the fish at the same time. You are going to need plenty of time to cycle the water in the aquarium to make it hospitable for the fish in your aquarium.

3. Catfish sometimes require freshwater as juveniles and then as they get old they will need a more brackish environment. Make sure you read up on your catfish to learn what its needs will be when it gets older.

Condylactis Anemone

$11.25

Condylactis Anemone are generally colored with a bright orange-red base and long white tentacles with yellow or pink tips, but color may vary greatly between individuals. This anemone is not usually a very suitable clownfish host it is a very beautiful and ornate anemone that you can add to your aquarium. The Condylactis Anemone is both carnivorous and photosynthetic, and for best feeding you should feed this anemone small meaty foods such as zooplankton at least once a week. This Anemone will move freely in the tank to find its best placement. Be careful when introducing this anemone to heavily stocked reef aquariums as its sting may damage the delicate corals.
