Compressiceps Cichlids are from the Lake Tanganyka in Africa, they are commonly called the Compress Cichlid. Compressed Cichlids grow to a maximum size of around 5 inches. Like most other Cichlids, the Compressed Cichlid should be kept in a larger sized aquarium with plenty of rocks and caves and areas for it to stake out territory and to hide if it feels threatened. The Compressed Cichlid is aggressive and should be kept with other Cichlids that are around its size. You should feed the Compressed Cichlid brine shrimp, and frozen bloodworms as a diet mainstay, as this fish will rarely eat dry food. These Cichlids are entertaining fish to watch swim around the aquarium and go about their habits.
