Aquarium Related Tips

1. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish.† The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.

2. In larger aquariums, you should put a few scavenger fish in the tank.† Scavenger fish will help to clean up left behind food and wastes from the other fish in the aquarium.† This is a good eco friendly way to keep your aquarium clean.

3. Goldfish can live incredibly long periods of up to 25 years.† You should plan accordingly when you purchase a goldfish.

A F Cichlid Chemistry 500 gm

$7.95

A mixture of compounds designed to properly replicate natural rift lake water chemistry without raising the PH level a significant amount. Contains a variety of substances found naturally in this environment, including: magnesium, sulfates, chlorides of sodium, calcium, potassium, and carbonates, all in perfectly formulated amounts for rift water species. Designed for use in tandem with A F Cichild buffer, to properly balance the alkalinity and chemical composition of your rift lake tank. Perfect for use with a variety of Cichild species, including, but not limited to, the African and American varieties of Cichilds. Does not contribute to the phosphate, nitrate, or other harmful organic compound levels of your tank water. Will not contribute to algae growth in your tank.

Directions:

Add 1 to 4 teaspoons (tsp) per 10 gallons of tank water while initially setting up the tank or while changing the water. Use with AF Cichild Buffer to adjust alkalinity (PH) to proper levels. Recommended hardness of water is 350-400 ppm TDS, depending on species. Check for appropriate water hardness for your particular species. Mix with water outside of tank. Change levels gradually. Add Cichild Chemistry weekly as needed to account for lost minerals due to filtration and inhabitants of tank.

Quantities Offered:

250 grams, 500 grams.

Contents:

Magnesium, sulfates, chlorides of sodium, calcium, potassium, and carbonates, additional trace elements.

Caution:

Do not taste, swallow, or breathe. If eye contact occurs, flush with water immediately for 15 minutes. If swallowed, drink water and contact a physician. May cause skin irritation. Keep away from children.
