Aquarium Related Tips

1. It is not considered a good idea to keep aggressive fish with fish of other temperaments. You should keep peaceful fish in an aquarium with other peaceful fish to avoid any sort of fighting between the fish. Aggressive fish should only be kept with other aggressive fish.

2. It is not a good idea to wash your filter media with regular tap water. The tap water can kill the beneficial bacteria that is built up in the filter. Use distilled water to clean out your filter and its components.

3. It is generally a good practice to purchase the largest aquarium that you can actually afford. A larger aquarium will be less susceptible to quick changes in the chemistry, and will offer much more stability.

Chocolate Chip Star

$8.50

The Chocolate Chip star is a very hardy species with a very handsome external appearance. The Chocolate Chip star fish spends its time both day and night moving continuously throughout your aquarium in search of its next meal. This animal will eat shrimp, krill, or any other meaty food directly from your fingers! This species is not recommended for a reef aquarium as it has been known to consume some species of coral. Unlike many other starfish The Chocolate Chip Star will tolerate copper based medications or extreme changes to water levels. A drip acclimations is the best for this species.
