Aquarium Related Tips

1. Clownfish do not always need to be with a sea anemone. Clownfish use anemoneís in the wild and they are not completely necessary in the home aquarium. If you insist on owning an anemone, you need to have plenty of experience to take care of it as they can be difficult to manage.

2. Purchasing fish that feed off of algae is a good plan to take care of an algae problem in your aquarium. You could also try cutting back the amount of lighting in the aquarium or get an algae treatment chemical to take care of any algae problems.

3. In larger aquariums, you should put a few scavenger fish in the tank. Scavenger fish will help to clean up left behind food and wastes from the other fish in the aquarium. This is a good eco friendly way to keep your aquarium clean.

Chocolate Chip Star

$8.50

The Chocolate Chip star is a very hardy species with a very handsome external appearance. The Chocolate Chip star fish spends its time both day and night moving continuously throughout your aquarium in search of its next meal. This animal will eat shrimp, krill, or any other meaty food directly from your fingers! This species is not recommended for a reef aquarium as it has been known to consume some species of coral. Unlike many other starfish The Chocolate Chip Star will tolerate copper based medications or extreme changes to water levels. A drip acclimations is the best for this species. This species can get fairy large and grow up to 16 inches in size.
