Aquarium Related Tips

1. It is never a good idea to hand freed a Lionfish. No matter how tame you think your Lionfish to be, they still have very venomous spines and should never be hand fed.

2. It is a good idea to perform a frequent water change and cleaning schedule. Changing the water in your aquarium will keep it clean for the fish that live in the aquarium. Keep a full stock of the water treatment chemicals you will need for this purpose.

3. Having a quarantine tank on hand is a very good practice to use if you frequently buy new fish. The quarantine tank will weed out any sick fish that could possible get into your aquarium and cause harm to the other inhabitants.

Chinese Algae Eater

$2.95

The Chinese Algae Eater is also referred to as the Chinese catfish even though it is not a member of the catfish family. The Chinese algae Eater is a great fish to keep in your tank to provide a natural defense against algae. The Chinese Algae Eater will also eat vegetables, flakes, and tablets to supplement its feeding if you do not have that much algae growing around in your aquarium. It is best to keep good light on the Chinese Algae Eaters but do not put them into direct sunlight. These fish are very peaceful and a good community fish, they love to swim around rocks and vegetation for cover so it is best to have an aquarium with plenty of both.
