Aquarium Related Tips

1. Pay close attention to your fishís PH needs and augment your aquarium as necessary to accommodate the new fish you are adding to your aquarium.

2. When you are removing a large ornamental rock from your aquarium, make sure to check all the nooks and crannies.† Some fish love to hide in there and it is good to double check to make sure you donít leave one of your fish out of water.

3. When starting out a new aquarium, it is best to add hardier species at first.† Once your aquarium ages a bit and gets settled, you can start to add more sensitive fish to the aquarium.

Calico

$6.98

The Calico Goldfish gets its name from the markings alongside its body that mimic those of a Calico Cat. The Calico Goldfish has a hump behind its head and a curved backbone along with a flat belly, giving it a unique and intriguing appearance. You should keep the Calico Goldfish in an aquarium of at least 30 gallons in size, and they will do equally well in an 180 gallon back yard pond. You should make sure to provide plenty of plant and rock cover for the Calico Goldfish. Calico Goldfish are omnivores and should be fed a varied diet consisting of meaty foods and also a lot of vegetables as well.
