Aquarium Related Tips

1. You should always take the time to acclimate your fish to the aquarium. Acclimating your fish will get them used to the environment of the aquarium. Adding fish directly can be too much a shock for your fish and can pose health hazards.

2. It is not advisable to leave your aquarium lights on at all times for the aquarium. You should keep the lights on for 8-12 hour periods at a time. If you want to keep the tank lights on when you arrive home, simply get a timer for the lights so your fish stay on a schedule.

3. If you use your tap water, you should make sure to remove the chlorine from the water before you add it to the aquarium. Chlorine can be very harmful to some of the fish in your aquarium. You can purchase kits to remove the chlorine from your aquarium at many retailers online.

Colored Button Polyps come from the waters of the Central Pacific and also Eastern Asia. Colored Button Polyps are semi aggressive coral and should not be kept next to peaceful or more aggressive corals. Colored Button Polyps should be placed in the aquarium in a spot where they can receive moderate lighting and also medium waterflow. To best facilitate this it is recommended you place this coral in the middle level of the aquarium. Colored Button Polyps should be supplemented with Iodine and other trace elements for best possible health.
