Aquarium Related Tips

1. After establishing your aquarium, pick fish that will add well to the current water conditions in your aquarium. Also be sure to check their temperament and other needs to be sure that they will make the transition in your aquarium smoothly.

2. If you use your tap water, you should make sure to remove the chlorine from the water before you add it to the aquarium. Chlorine can be very harmful to some of the fish in your aquarium. You can purchase kits to remove the chlorine from your aquarium at many retailers online.

3. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish. The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.

Bulkhead: Black: 1.5 in

$12.95

This black bulk head is made of heavy duty impact resistant PVC. A bulkhead is an essential component to add to your aquarium. This Bulkhead will get rid of the possibility of finding hidden cracks when you are filling up your aquarium. These fittings are used for attaching filters, pumps, protein skimmers and other devices to either your acrylic aquarium or the reservoir using regular PVC fittings. Easy to install, all you have to do is drill the appropriate size whole where you want to place the bulkhead in your aquarium, then you install the bulkhead with the gasket placed between the aquarium and the bulkhead flange and hand tighten for best results.
