Also known as the Lionhead Cichlid, the Buffalo Head is from the Congo River basin in Africa. They swim through the fast flowing rivers in the Congo River so they are used to a fast flowing tank. The Buffalo Head is a very peaceful aquarium inhabitant and will grow to around 4 inches, they are colored with black, blue, gray, and tan colors. You should keep the Buffalo head in an aquarium with at least 30gallons of water and plenty of rocks for the Buffalo Head to hide in and make their own little enclosures. You should never keep a buffalo head alone as you should keep them with 4 or 5 other buffalo headé─˘s to make sure that they are in a community environment.
