The Blue Tail Botia is also called the Red Finned Loach, this species is from South East Asia in countries such as Vietnam and Cambodia. The Blue tail Botia grows to around 7 inches when kept in captivity. The Blue Tail Botia should be kept in a larger sized aquarium with very good filtration and regular changes of water. To keep Blue tail Botia’s you should keep a sand substrate at the bottom of your aquarium so the Blue Tail Botia has plenty of room to dig around in. You should take care to feed this fish flake food, pellets, algae wafers, and chopped earthworms, avoid overfeeding this fish as it is very greedy and will gulp down whatever you put into the tank.
