Aquarium Related Tips

1. Only use medication in your aquarium when you are out of other options. You should use a separate tank to medicate sick fish as some medications can have harmful effects on healthy fish.

2. You should feed your fish a variety of food and not just flake foods. Mix it up with fresher foods from their regular diet. Giving them more a varied diet will increase the general health of your fish.

3. It is a good idea to perform a frequent water change and cleaning schedule. Changing the water in your aquarium will keep it clean for the fish that live in the aquarium. Keep a full stock of the water treatment chemicals you will need for this purpose.

Blue Reef Leg Hermit Crab

$1.50

Blue Reef Hermit Crabs come from the waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean and also around the Marshall Islands. Blue Reef Hermit Crabs are peaceful and should be kept with other crabs of the same temperament. Blue Reef Hermit crabs are omnivores, and should be fed a steady diet of algae along with meaty preparations for best health. Also make sure you feed this crab bits of dried seaweed, as that is a mainstay of its diet. You can keep this crab in a reef aquarium and it will do well while scavenging around the tank for bits of food. The Blue Reef Hermit crab is easy to care for, and can be kept by the beginning aquarium owner without too much of a problem.

Origin: Indo-Pacific
Size: 2 inches at full length
Diet: Omnivore
