Aquarium Related Tips

1. If you have a protein skimmer you should shut it off when you are adding medicine to your aquarium. The protein skimmer will remove any medicines added to the aquarium.

2. When keeping aggressive species of fish, it is best not to introduce peaceful species of fish among them. Aggressive fish will tend to bully the more peaceful fish. Make sure to thoroughly read about the compatibility of the selected fish for the aquarium.

3. You should keep the temperature in your aquarium constant. Constant change in the aquarium can be dangerous for the fish in your aquarium. Keep a quality heater and accurate thermometer to ensure that the water stays stable for the aquarium.

Blue Delta Guppy

$6.05

Blue Delta Guppies are originally from the waters of Asia, Central and South America. Blue Delta Guppies are very interesting looking fish, and have a dark blue back fin with yellow coloration on the top half of their bodies. You should house the Blue Delta Guppy in an aquarium of at least 20 gallons in size. In your aquarium you should also make sure to provide plenty of plant and rock cover for this fish, as it needs plenty of spaces to hide and swim through. Blue Delta Guppies are peaceful and should be kept in aquariums that are peaceful in nature, if it is bullied in an aquarium with more aggressive fish, this species will start to fade in color and become withdrawn. You should feed this fish a diet of algae wafers and the occasional meaty treat.
