1. Make sure you ask plenty of questions when you are buying accessories or fish for your aquarium.† The salespeople are there to help you, and should be able to handle any concerns you have when buying items for your aquarium.
2. When adding particularly aggressive fish to your aquarium, it is a good idea to move around the rocks and such in the aquarium before placing the new fish into the aquarium.† Moving the rocks in the aquarium will allow the fish to go back and stake out their own territory.
3. Cichlids tend to be very intelligent fish.† You should do your best to interact with them as some species will respond positively to you arriving home.† These fish are very active and if you interact with them, they can develop much better.
