Found in the shallow coastal waters of the Indo-Pacific Oceans, this fish is really a dartfish. It has a light green, slender body with pink bars, a pink blotch on the gill cover and black lines on the head. This fish can successfully breed in the aquarium. It is a hardy, low maintenance fish. Also referred to as a Zebra Dartfish, Barred Dartfish, Zebra Dart Goby and a Chinese Zebra Goby.
Size: 2" to 4" No. in Tank: small group of 2 to 5 Tank: 20 Temperament: Peaceful Food: (Carnivore) In the wild their preferred diet is zoo-plankton. Feed a varied diet of brine and mysid shrimp, carnivore preparations and other meaty items. Feed several times a day. Light: Medium Adaptation: This is a schooling fish and it is best to keep them that way in groups of at least 3, introduce together. Normally shy when first introduced, this will help the fish become less timid. They also need plenty of hiding places and room to swim. Once acclimated they are friendly and swim without hesitation. Compatibility: Excellent reef system fish. Must keep with peaceful tank-mates.
