Banded Cat Sharks come from the waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean and are also commonly called Cat Sharks because of the unique barbels around their mouths that give the appearance of whiskers. Banded Cat Sharks grow to around 3 and a half feet and full length and should only be kept in a large aquarium of at least 180 gallons in size. Banded Cat Sharks are aggressive, and should only be kept by an aquarium expert as they are extremely difficult to care for. Banded Cat Sharks are carnivores and should be fed a steady diet of feeder shrimp and other meaty preparations.
