Banded Cat Sharks come from the waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean and are also commonly called Cat Sharks because of the unique barbels around their mouths that give the appearance of whiskers. Banded Cat Sharks grow to around 3 and a half feet and full length and should only be kept in a large aquarium of at least 180 gallons in size. Banded Cat Sharks are aggressive, and should only be kept by an aquarium expert as they are extremely difficult to care for. Banded Cat Sharks are carnivores and should be fed a steady diet of feeder shrimp and other meaty preparations.
Size: Can grow up to 3 Feet, 6 inches at full maturity
Feeding: Carnivore, should be fed heavy diet of meaty foods.
Aquarium: Saltwater, cannot be kept in a reef aquarium.
Minimum Tank Size: 180 Gallons
Compatibility: Should be kept by themselves or possibly with other fish if the other fish can care for themselves.
