Red Banded Pipefish come from the waters of the Indo-Pacific in nature and can typically be found around reefs. Red Banded Pipefish grow to around 8 inches at full length and should be kept in an aquarium of at least 50 gallons to provide plenty of swimming and living room for these fish. Red Banded Pipefish are carnivores and should be fed frozen mysid shrimp, mosquito larva, daphnia, and other meaty foods at least 3 times a day. Red Banded Pipefish are peaceful but very hard to care for, and should only be kept by the aquarium expert.
