Aquarium Related Tips

1. Try to provide an environment that is as stable as possible, fluctuations in the aquarium can have a negative impact on the aquarium. Try to keep the temperature and PH levels fairly balanced in your aquarium.

2. It is important to pay attention to the limitations of the fish you place in the aquarium. Do not place fish into aquariums smaller than there recommended range, this can lead to increased aggression and decreased health.

3. When adding plants to the aquarium, be sure to check the lighting needs. Try to find plants that will fit the pre-existing lighting conditions of your aquarium. You should avoid plants that require much more light than the fish in your aquarium.

BLM 1/2 in Ball Valve Slip

$4.25

This Ball valve Slip is made of heavy duty impact resistant PVC. A Ball Valve Slip is an essential component to add to your aquarium. This Ball Valve Slip will get rid of the possibility of finding hidden cracks when you are filling up your aquarium. These fittings are used for attaching filters, pumps, protein skimmers and other devices to either your acrylic aquarium or the reservoir using regular PVC fittings. Easy to install, all you have to do is drill the appropriate size whole where you want to place the bulkhead in your aquarium, then you install the bulkhead with the gasket placed between the aquarium and the bulkhead flange and hand tighten for best results.
