1. Pay close attention to your fish's PH needs and augment your aquarium as necessary to accommodate the new fish you are adding to your aquarium.
2. Having a quarantine tank on hand is a very good practice to use if you frequently buy new fish. The quarantine tank will weed out any sick fish that could possible get into your aquarium and cause harm to the other inhabitants.
3. Try to provide an environment that is as stable as possible, fluctuations in the aquarium can have a negative impact on the aquarium. Try to keep the temperature and PH levels fairly balanced in your aquarium.
