1. You should take out any carbon filters in the aquarium when you are medicating your fish.† The carbon in the filter will remove the medicine from the water, so it is best to remove it all together.
2. Purchasing fish that feed off of algae is a good plan to take care of an algae problem in your aquarium.† You could also try cutting back the amount of lighting in the aquarium or get an algae treatment chemical to take care of any algae problems.
3. You should keep some brushes on hand, especially if you are a reef aquarium owner.† With your brushes you will be able to clean off any built up grime from inside your aquarium or on the surfaces of your hard corals.
