Africanus Angelfish, Guinean Angelfish (Holacanthus africanus)
From the Western Coast of Africa, the African Angelfish is very beauty and a fish that is a popular breed for its adaptability to captivity. Should grow to approximately 17 inches. The location in which this fish dwells makes it a difficult fish to obtain. It is considered a rare Angelfish and hard to find.
The African Angelfish does best in a semi-reef aquarium with Live Rock and decorations. It is an algae eater and loves to eat organisms off the rocks and is an Omnivore. This fish should be placed in a tank that is 150 gallons or larger.
Origin: Atlantic Ocean off the West Coast of Africa Size: Can grow up to 17 inches at full maturity Feeding: Omnivore, should be fed plenty of herbivore and meaty preparations. Aquarium: Saltwater, can be kept in a reef aquarium with caution. Minimum Tank Size: 150 Gallons Behavior: Semi-Aggressive. Care: Moderate Compatibility: Should be kept with other fish around the same size and temperament.
