1. Avoid placing your aquarium near a radiator or any other form of heater.† The heat given off by these devices can easily upset the temperature balance in your aquarium.† Raised temperature levels can kill off the fish and plants that you have in your aquarium.
2. Cichlids tend to be very intelligent fish.† You should do your best to interact with them as some species will respond positively to you arriving home.† These fish are very active and if you interact with them, they can develop much better.
3. After establishing your aquarium, pick fish that will add well to the current water conditions in your aquarium.† Also be sure to check their temperament and other needs to be sure that they will make the transition in your aquarium smoothly.
